5 Best Beauty Products For Your Face and Hair

1. DryBar Detox Dry Shampoo

MAGIC IN A BOTTLE. Must I add, brilliant! I was never the one to use dry shampoo until my friend introduced me to this one right here.

Odor control – safe for colour treated and keratin treated hair – doesn’t leave any residue – easy to use – shine free

I have colour-treated hair and my roots are starting to grow out and I now notice that my roots are starting to appear more oily than usual – it was not looking cute, my hair felt and looked dirty!

I sprayed this onto my roots and instantly the dry shampoo absorbed all the oil and the texture was quite pleasant, it felt DRY – a good type of dry and instantly my roots appeared less oily and left my hair feeling fresh and clean – Elle

You can use this as a radiant highlighter to brighten up your under eye or as a spot concealer.

2. Tarte concealer

12 hour wear – Lightweight – Easy applicator – Medium coverage

Need something to replace your old highlighter or looking for a lightweight concealer?

I have seen many beauty gurus using this and I’m familiar with the brand as I have been using Tarte products for many years and I haven’t had any disappointments so far. I had to give this concealer a try as a substitute to their Amazonian Clay Waterproof 12-hour concealer.

I use this to brighten up my under eye hence my go to highlighter. Once applied, you instantly see a flawless and brightened refection. The formula is 20 percent water base, so do expect it to be lightweight and moisturizing for the skin. The best part is it doesn’t dry your skin to the point your skin cracks and it doesn’t crease after hours of use. – Elle

3. MAC Pro Longwear foundation

Been wanting to change my foundation for summer since my skin will produce more oil, I wanted something that will give me a natural yet flawless finish and lasts all day long. After choosing from a range of foundations at the MAC store, I picked up the Pro Longwear Foundation. I guess the keyword “longwear” attracted me compared to the other four options. I had to give it a try!

The texture is creamy but still lightweight. Once applied, my skin looks luminous and since it is a medium coverage, it is build-able. The finish is natural looking and not until after 8 hours of wear, I don’t look shiny in my T-zone area. It claims to keep your makeup locked for up to 15 hours but I can’t guarantee as I haven’t had foundation on for that long! But hey, if you’re someone that sleeps with your makeup on, (NOT RECOMMENDED) you’ll look like a beauty in your sleep! – Elle

4. MAC Lipstick – Cremesheen

I can’t express how much I love all of MAC lipsticks, the colour and the pigmentation are perfect and suits everyone who are looking for THAT perfect shade to go to any type of event!

Shy Girl is my go to lippie that suits any makeup look – it’s not too bold and not too bright. The perfect go to shade.

The texture is creamy with a high-shine finish.

5. Vitamin E Eye Cream

Everyone should be adding an eye cream to their morning and night skin routine. At-least, I hope so!

Not only will it help you get rid of your under eye puffiness, it will help reduce the appearance of dark circles and future wrinkles and fine lines.

This eye cream is mild compared to other eye creams I tried by higher end brands, but for the cost of this one ($20 CAD) it does a fairly good job for my concerns. I was looking for an eye cream with vitamins and to help hydrate and protect my under eye and this one does the trick.

The formula is super lightweight and absorbs in seconds. If you’re someone who doesn’t use an eye cream, I suggest you start now!
